Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice German WWII Summer Tunic Breast Eagle for Heer (Army) officers. It is a high-quality, early piece, and retains almost all of the original silvering. It is of die struck aluminum construction, with an added on hinge, clasp, and lower hook. It has a maker mark on the back, of an M inside a diamond, however we have unfortunately not been able to identify the maker. It measures approximately 3 5/8" across.

These were worn on the summer uniforms of Heer (Army) officers, and were made to be removable, to allow the uniforms to be cleaned. The reverse hardware setup is intact and functional, with a barrel hinge, and a round wire pin and catch. There is a slight bend to the pin, and typical age patination to the reverse hardware, but overall this piece is very clean, and in excellent condition. Ready to display!
